Yes there is such a bait and it is absolutely deadly on certain water chains. It’s a huge bait, but it works!!

This is my first post! I love you guys here at IDO I’ve been a lurker for too long (under a different name of course) I like the DD-22, it is a big, fat, wide crank, with a huge wobble. I like it for bumping off of deep cover. It seems to go through weeds, rocks, and stumps with relative ease. However, I like the brush baby better for heavy cover applications. Hope I could help

    DT 22?

Rapalas Dives to series, should dive to 22 feet.

Sorry, it’s Norman lures that makes a DD-22 – they all look the same in the tackle box… I guess I didn’t fully read the initial post – my bad

Both the DD-22 and the DT-22 are great baits for going after those deep fish. You can also use them in shallower water to make contact with he bottom, which sometimes really turns on the fish.

I thought the deepest crank Rapala made was a DT 16

Rapala’s Deep Tail Dancer dives to 30 feet or more, so they claim!

Rapala has 2 different size of the Deep Tail Dancers that will exceed 25ft. TDD9 which dives to 25’+ & TDD11 which dives to 30’+ (trolling long lines 150’+) they are a banana-shaped lure with a wide wobble which can be trolled at speeds of 5mph+ without blowing out to the side.Used most by Great lakes fisherman for trout & salmon species but have a good following by some deep water walleye fisherman. Great lure for imitating deep suspended baitfish. I have never heard of a DD22 or DT22 made by Rapala .DT16 or DTSS16 is all I know anything about, which is primarily a bass style plug by Rapala which I have had a hard time getting to those proclaimed depths by just casting. Best of fishing all WHITE TIP

The DTSS16 is the same as a DT16, just with David Fritt’s sure set hooks.

They will dive 16′ on a long cast with small diameter line. One of the best deep cranks I’ve ever used. But don’t try to slap weeds off with them, you’ll slap the body off the lip.

So where can I get Rapala DT-22s? I know of the DD-22 from Normam, but these pros talk about the Rapala. The bait is not listed on the Rapala website but they must be around some where.

Some of the pro staffers get prototype lures that you might hear about but not offered to gen. public for a year or 2.Best of luck getting a pro staffer to turn 1 over.

Yeah my guess is the same. I heard a rumor about a DT-20 and from what I hear the pros suggested a DT-22 instead. It as prolly just being tested this past year and hopefully hits the market soon.

I checked my cam and I got another picture of a buck I got about 2 weeks ago. The last picture was a side view and it looked like another mainbeam was growing out of his forehead. I got this picture and it looks like its growing off to his right side and off center. The doe looking down at the coons is probably thinking what are you doing eating my apples. Some other pictures too.
