after a long cold morning morning with snow and not seeing any deer i was already for the afternoon shift. it was about 6:00 and a saw a little nubbing buck. this would have been a great first deer. as i was wachting him thinking, where is his mom, i rembered my sister was right down the trail from me. so i was hoping that he would keep to the trail so she would get a shot. i could see all the way down this trail to where they were. could see me sister thinking hes a big deer, and then i saw he ran off the trial. darn i though. she never even got a shot. that kinda sucks i though. so later about 6:15 i am thinking about calling it a day a meeting up with my sister and dad. so i get all packed up and wait another 15 minutes before i move. i hear a shot. BOOM. i was so happy that she got to shoot. as i wait in my stand i cant take it anymore. the suspense was killing me on weather she got it or not. so i get out of my stand and go see. turns out that we think she had a clean miss over the top. i hope i can get her to go back out tomorrow to see if she can connect on one. and we will look for the deer tomorrow to see if we just over looked it.

well guys after a hard day of hunting for the youth hunt, i had a bad case of buck fever. i saw a huge 10 point buck and didn’t give him enough time to get out from behind the tree before i shot. so i missed him. on the plus side he is still here for bow hunting and same with another nice 10 and a small 6 or 8. i will have to get from bow hunting.

we did pretty good on the youth hunt 3 of my cousins each got a doe pretty small but for 2 of them it was there first. My brother and my other cousin saw a few small does but let them past. I was bowhunting and saw 7 does and two small bucks could have shot 2 does but they were just yearlins all in all pretty good weakend.
