All those big river walleyes in the spring have to come from some place… the tough part out on pepin is getting to the fish and then getting them to bite. This guy’s fish is a rare fish indeed!

We were, and I see an nice eye once in a while, but not this nice, usually we’ll catch some nice saugers. It depends on the year and amount of shad present.. Actually very few nice eyes.
Is it true the bigger they are the better they feel coming out of the hole? Talking fish guys I would say the bigger they are the harder they are to put back in the hole LOL : I’ve never caught a hog like that B4!! CONGRATS!! NICE!!

I’d get in trouble if I talked like this.I’m glad to see someone else thinks the same way I do…….Talking fishing right?
My buddy Paul was out working on his new house last night when he noticed Splitter coming out to the food plot and walk right by our stand. Splitter has been doing the same thing a 2-3 nights a week. From the Food Plot, Splitter heads North and cuts back into the woods about a ½ mile up. So Paul quickly grabbed his hunting gear as he knew Splitters routine. Paul quickly got dressed and headed for a spot he knew Splitter would walk by. As Paul was trying to stalk across a fairly open knee high grass field and intercept Splitter, Paul got locked down by some does feeding in the field and could not get where he wanted to be. So he had to just sit and watch Splitter walk within 20 yards of the spot he was trying to get and had Splitter pass by him @ 65 yards.
Oh well there is always next time because well know that opportunities like this come every day on 165″ animals.
