Out of velvet!

    I couldn’t take it any more so I had to run out and check a camera on the food plot in Fall Creek. There he was- Trip- out of velvet. Looking like the king- I was hoping he was carrying a little more mass but velvet always fools the mind. I’m not complaining though. I also had 7 or 8 yearling bucks. Included a fun little scrappin pic. I started to wonder- does that mean they got booted by larger bucks on adjacent properties? If it does, the rut could be crazy again around my place. Haven’t seen that in a few years.

    Great looking brows on pic #3! I’ve yet to get a pic of a shooter in hard horn this year.

    I hear ya Marty…I have to run out tomorrow and grab my pictures! That is a dandy buck though…here’s to you getting at least an encounter with that big boy!
