Whats in your pack/bag?

    Hey everyone I was wondering what kinds of differnt things everyone has with them in the pack/bag for early season bow hunting vs the rut or later in the season?

    Ahh, I had to say that before this..Whew, I feel much better.

    I have been trying to limit everything I take..

    Early season.
    -grunt call, binocs, bottle of water, scent killer, toilet paper for tracking purposes,flashlight,headlamp.

    Rut or later season.
    -all of the above and a ton of other things I dont need.

    bino’s, range finder, scentaway spray, grunt call, water bottle, video camera, digital camera, thermacell, flashlight, headlamp…

    I agree to much stuff grunt/bleat calls water,head lamp,flashlight,spare release thermacell range finder white lightning scent free field wipes for when it gets a lil to hot on the way to the stand durring the rut a few extra things

    I also always have my grunt call with me but I never really used it early in the season and now im wondering if I should has anyone had good luck this soon?

    I have used one within the first couple weeks of the season sometimes it works sometimes it dont all depends on the mood of the deer i think soft mellow grunts is all i will do

    you can grunt in bucks any time of year the bleat works well also right now for does

    For my recent Elk Hunt, I too started with W A Y too much stuff, after day 1, heres what the essentials were in order of my importance… 3 bottled water, GPS/Compass, 2 spare T-Shirts, scent cover spray, some granola bars, knife, game bags, rain gear(if it was forecasted) I carried my binos on a harnass, always worn. My range finder hung from the harnass also, after a close encounter…. more on that tomorrow…

    The “can” for doe bleat, grunt tube, scent away spray, extra release, extra rope for stand to pull up bow, range finder, Yahtzee electronic game (sound off) Will have my Thermcell
