    Alrighty.
this buck came in around 630 ish to a fairly new stand site, so it has the simple name of the new stand. original, huh? The stand is in a maze of bush hoged trails through hunnysuckle thickets. he came in on the backside of one of the thickets to where i could see good enough to tell that he was a shooter, for me at least, but it wasnt clear enough to make a shot. i first heard him at 55 yards and layed eyes on him at 45. i had no shot still. he came in and beded down at 30 yards. still no possible shot, i could barely even see him. 30 minutes later a doe walked in behind me and he stood up. when he stood up he spooked towards me and stoped at 15 yards, luckyly he was in a shooting lane. i drew back and let him have it. i knocked him to his knees and he got up and went right back down. my first buck with a bow layin right there. i made a couple hoorayssss before finally calming down enough to get outta the tree. i got down and put my hands on him. then ran the halfa mile back to the tractor to get him out before dark.

    here he is….

i got him at the local shop. all the guys down there went to school with my dad and i gut, skin, and butcher with them all the time. they are teaching me how to mount and tan so they do my bucks in the slow times. so I’m shoulder mounting him myself. but with alot (alot alot) of help of course.

Great job sticker, and beautiful shot. You’ve obviously been putting in your time at the range, and all the prepwork has paid off!

Congrats again, and depending on Kentucky’s rules, maybe you can get out and keep hunting!
