That 9 will be close as well as that 8 but i think they will fall a little short. They only need another year if you are not happy shooting them, but remember they will most likely be in the 140s next year.

IMO, a shooter is only in the eye of the Hunter. For me, those bucks are not shooters for most instances. However, for my wife those are dandies and she would take in a hear beat. Only you (the Hunter) know what is a shooter for you and should not let others dictate your standards!

    Just my $.02!

To heck with the 9 point look at the monster in the back ground of the second to last pic! That is a shooter for sure!

that one is a little mystery. I wondered about him. They always look bigger going away. I know it is all up to the hunter and what they feel is right for them to harvest. I didnt intend to have the decision made for me but have to admit I am on the fence. The property is slated for 75 houses starting next year and I may not be able to hunt there after this year so like I said I am on the fence. Nice ones to help pass time while waiting though huh?

Like Rob said, its all about what you want to put your tag on. Those size bucks used to put me over the edge. THWAKK GAME OVER

Amen brother! If you don’t do this, you will usually encounter ground shrinkage.
