Pictures of the same Buck – Multiple Years in a Row

I will start this, it can get kind of interesting especially on some of the big brutes as the years age on

This buck here I named 10 Pt. Classic, last year I didn’t really want to use my tag on him, but a shooting partner wanted him bad!

    Half muley and half whitetail??

Here he is in 2007-2008 and for 2009 I had to crop him in closer for the view, what a cow

cant say 100% but i believe this is the same buck only last year and this year pics and havent ever see him but i really really hope to we named him the decoy killer or splitters cousin

only reason i think its the same buck is because the split looks like it comes off the back of the g2 on the left side in both pics

    Great Post Jeff.

First 3 pics are Splitter in 2007. We passed him up 8 times total that year. I had him twice under 25 yards. From his shed Paul found he would have gone low 130’s gross. The next pictures are from 2008. I never saw him on the hoof last year as I hunted there only 3 days and videod for my wife another 3 days and w had bad winds the whole time. From his shed we foud we beleieve he would have gone 154-155″ last year.

This year Paul and I are on a mission. We will be chasing him in 23 Days.

Cool stuff folks!! let’s keep it coming, it’s interesting to flip back and forth between pics and see how the mass and size increases as well as the body age they prime up in age.

I will say the classic is a pot belly hog this year, talk about body condition he looks as if he needs a tread mill. The owner of the property I hunt on said last night he got to watch classic thru a spotting scope Monday night, classic is carrying 15 points this year, might even perk my interest at the right moment.

I’m still looking for splits this year, he’s around if we get him on camera then I will post him with his pics from last year, he’s tall and very square this year lookin real good!, last year he was the buck to reckon with, and with the pics at x-mas it was cool he made it thru rifle season.

    Cool post JDX!

    This gets the blood pumpin!!!

This is “Pistol Grips”. First picture is when he was a 3.5 year old. Next three pics are when is was 4.5 year old. Now that’s some serious growth in one year! I saw this buck one time during bow hunting when I was on stand. He was shot by the neighbor on opening day of gun season standing out in the middle of a field at 1pm. There was a broadhead stuck in the base of his left antler. I feel sorry for the unknown bow hunter who missed their mark…

Here is another from the Honey Hole down in Southern MN. The first two pics is of Lucky busted up in 2007. The next three are Lucky in 2008. I have about 25 pictures total of him in two years. Hopefully he made it through last year because if I run into him again he won’t be so Lucky. He is called Lucky because I have passed him up quite a few times. Once last year Stacie was suppose to be with me Hunting, but she got tied up with work and did not make it down. He came by that night and stood broadside @ 12 yards, tempting me, but I knew he needed another year for me to shoot him. Stacie on the other hand would have dropped him. .

Here’s a buck that I passed up last year during gun season. He was a 5×5 with good potential.

This year he had a huge tumor on the right side of his neck (you can see the remains of it in the 2nd picture) and we believe it affected his antler growth this year. It doesn’t even look like it’s the same buck but it is because he has a little rip in his left ear.

Here’s another buck that didn’t amount to much from last year. His left side came in smaller than the right side meaning that he may have suffered an injury on his right body somewhere. Pretty easy to tell it’s the same buck though by looking at the small gash in his right ear.

OK Rob – Here’s another buck and I didn’t hurt this one. We got the sheds off this buck from last year as an 8 pointer – this year he’s a decent 9 pointer and grew quite a bit. The first 3 pictures were taken in the same exact location (two years apart). I glassed this buck last night in a field and he looks pretty good….. but….. I think we will let him grow one more year…
