What are the exact regulations of what can and cannot be used to attract deer? Is that c’mere deer legal or not? Deer cane? and other stuff in that sort. Reason being is my girlfriend might try bow hunting this year and i would like to find what and what not can be used so we can have deer come in close to feed or lick or whatever. This way the deer will be calm and all so she can take a good clean ethical shot if that all makes sense

JC, minerals are legal, saltblocks work well. Anything with apple, oats or corn would not be legal to hunt over. You can place the stuff, up until 10 days before your season. Now the liquids, I don’t know what they would do, because you can’t really “see” anything, other than a tore up stump or ground. It is legal to hunt over standing corn, planted for agricultural purposes, just like alfalfa or beans, but not “placed” bait. Good luck to your lady friend

Yea… salt blocks and mineral blocks work pretty good early on in the season and late season. Legally, you cant use the liquads like Buck Jam or anything that contains fruit or that Acorn Rage because that would be consider “placing”. Just go and find a good acron tree and a standing corn field ( if possible ) and sit by it. Not going to say deer with come instantly or anything but they will make their rounds sooner or later. Otherwise get a decoy and some scents and do some calling. Good luck hunting!
