-17 for a low is nothing.

Back a few years ago in Cananda we had -22 for a high all week long until the day we left. It got up to -7 and we were in long sleeve shirts.

I remember snowmobiling in Canada a few years back when it was -15 ish for the high. Any little bit of skin exposed while sledding was instant frostbite. I am anxious to see how that snosuit works while sledding also…

Ok, I’m back. Brrr! it was COLD. We threw on just over 200 miles. -32 Saturday morning. It took a few pulls to get the engines loosened up from Friday nights ride. The trails were smooth but a little thin in some spots but overall good conditions. We had a group of 7 saying at the hunting shack 2/3rds of the way from Orr to Crane Lake. There was some other people up there riding, but not many. We did not ride on Sunday, which happened to be the warmer day of the 2. I’m glad to have some awesome hand and thumb warmers on my Polaris, because other people hands were suffering big time. I just had a pair of Ice Armour gloves on. Not the thickest or heaviest glove around, but with my hand warmers they were fine. The only time I got cold was driving the 4 miles back from the bar where we had dinner to the shack on Saturday night at about 10 pm. It was the first time ever I felt the cold/wind penetrate my Snowmobile jacket. I’m not sure how cold it was, but it was a cold end to a long and cold but very FUN day.

Overall Conditions were good. A little more snow and they would be great, but like I said a little thin in spots. We sledded around the Cook and Orr area up to Crane Area, Namakan, Kabetogama, Ash River and stayed near the town of Buyck.

No SnoSuit for me this weekend Cal. Not the weather to be “testing” gear out in. I went with what I know works and it did just fine except for that last 5 miles on Saturday night I did feel the cold starting to penetrate my jacket.

Can anyone zoom in on the first deer I don’t know if its cuz the batteries were low after 354 pictures or a slower trigger but if anyone has the ability to zoom and possibly enhance it go right ahead

Bigger body deer than the other one but that is a tough picture too zoom in on with that kind of background and the amount of light involed. Hard to tell if that is horns or a tree branch…… hopefully get him again on camera so you can for sure tell…
