I use Mustang Ice Rider suits. The suit floats and it drains instantly if you fall in so you can warm up. It is very warm and can save your life.

This turned out to be a pretty good post for ice suits and boots, thanks for the replies and I think my mind is made up on the suit.

Luke…What style Mukluks do you have?
I have a real hard time with a heavyweight boot also.

PS.. The kid has been bugging me to visit…How much is an out-of-state license again

I think the taller one may be a shooter this year. (1st pic)

Sorry the camera is one of the first digital ones they came out with. I hope to be buying a new one here soon and maybe the quality of pics will be a little better!

Welcome to iDohunting Buckkillr! It’s always more exciting knowing there’s a shooter in your area.

Thanks Brad. I love the site here. Very informative and seems like a great group of guys. As far as the pics go, Yes it does make it exciting knowing that there is a shooter around. There is actually about 3-4 shooters that we believe made it through last year and a nother cull buck that we may have to take out this year (shot gun season). As soon as the other deer show up on one of our cams I will be sure to post em. Its just nice to see that all of our neighbors efforts as well as ours in the last 7 years is working.

I am trying to figure out if this is more of a daytime shot of the tall one. He has eluded us for 3 years now. The first pic and the 7th and then this pic I was kinda thinking they were the same deer. Kind of hard to tell. But thanks for lighting that pic up. I have been meaning to go into those pics and edit them to look a little better.

The way that #1 & 7 lightened up, I would say they were at night. The other one, I would say early evening or morning See you at the GTG

Yes the two that you added more light to were definately in the dark. And the other one looks like an early evening shot because of the way the woods are lit up.(Thats what we think after examining this) For some reason on our laptop the pics look a lot better when looked at off the card vs being downloaded.??

Another weird thing is that we never see any fork horns runnin around or spikes. I dont know if it is just the area that I am in and the 2yr olds and older are runnin em out or is it possible that these small 8 pointers that seem to be everywhere are the smaller ones. Again just an observation over the last seven years. We have seen one forky actually and he was wounded (hit by a car) and one side was a fork and the other was just a ball on the top of his head?? I dont know? You guys have any ideas.

IMO, I would rather see them small 8 points running around , I would say you have some GOOD genes in that area (it’s a good thing to see a 1 1/2 8 point running around ) Good luck on that big 10 !

Thanks guys!! I hope I get a chance at him!! I would actually rather see my dad get a crack at him to be honest. He has been a meat hunter all his life til we bought this property and its taken a lot for me to convert him. I think he is fully converted after some of these pics and seeing what our neighbors have shot in previous years to us owning land around there.!!

That is funny, My dad is the same way I tell him every year don’t shoot them small bucks PLEASE, I told him he could use all my doe tags if he wouldn’t shoot the small one’s But you are right once they start seeing these pictures it makes them want to wait for the Big guy Not that I care if he shoots a small one but it sure is cool when they do wait and get a big buck Hope your dad puts the on him

Well he is saying he will wait but the moment of truth remains when we start to hit the woods hard here in a month!! I think I have him where I want him but oh well- I guess a trophy is in the eye of the beholder!
