I looked at the 2009 regs and I don’t see anything about that. Still says less then 1 power or less.

I hope this is true for all of you up there. I have a 3-9×40 on mine and can shoot 200 yards pretty easily off a fence post or shooting sticks. Suprised they have this law actually, I guess I understand it though. Some states do not allow inlines or even 209 primers I have heard. Well it must be true if it is in a magazine and on the internet. LOL. Al Gore would not lie to us. LOL.

That sure would be nice here in Minnesota. Once they made the jump to allow Inline guns and 209 primers then they might as well open it up to allow scopes as well.

If MN allows scopes I would be suprised to see 1 week taken off the season as well though.

At the 2009 Wisconsin Conservation Congress meetings held in every county of the state, all but 2 counties passed the legalization of scopes during the muzzleloader season. However, it will be the 2010 season before it is implemented.

MN allows scoped ML’s during regular firearms seasons but not allowed during the actual ML season. The late ML season will remain “traditional” in MN. Also this year new regs on ML, some of you, like me may have had the opportunity for public input with Jason Abraham. the big change there is stricter ML regs in place on anterless because the inlines are basically 300 yard accuracy rifles now, which cool as they are, are not “traditional”.

No matter what… “traditional” is constantly changing. What is our “tradition” or way we muzzleload today… will be the new “traditional” in 100 years. Some of our decendents will be saying… remember when they had those little “primers” the put in the breech… yeah, they had removable breechs back then too… and they used powder or pellets. People use the word traditional, for different meanings. To me, the first true muzzleloaders, were a leadball, wadding to wrap the ball in… a bowl for powder, from a real horn…. and a flint to make the spark. They would fire about 50% of the time, with about a 3-10 second delay to firing and when they did, god knows where that ball was going !!!! Alot of people think they are muzzle loading “traditional” but very few, meaning to use the word in the sense that I see it…. do it this way. Doesn’t make em wrong, just a different meaning of the word.
