I have tried about everything available in regards to cold weather clothing…..I have spent more money than I care to admit trying to stay warm. The snosuit sure could have saved me alot of money had I bought it first.
As always, feel free to try mine out if curious or skeptical….the price is right!
July 23, 2009 at 5:18 pm #200337Ok the other week I did an update on my Evolved Harvest Food Plot I had planted on May 30th and June 1st. Well, after the little rain we had the last few days I was out checking it this morning with Rufus and it is unbelievable how much this plot has grown even from when it looked so good last week. I have plants almost 30” tall and a majority of the plot is around 24” tall. The leaves have tripled in size from the last update and there is so much tonnage for the deer to eat, I’m very satisfied with this plot and looking forward to putting more in the coming weeks. The only bad part maybe that it is choking out my chicory and clover (as seen in the 5th pic) beneath the Canopy but I will take it. Basically, I planted this plot with a blend of Evolved Harvest’s Provide Clover and the Shot Plot seeds. This plot costed me less then $35 in seeds to plant plus with a little hard work this thing is un real.
The even better part of this plot is the deer are absolutely hammering it and I have deer coming through at all times of day and some are hitting it 4-5 times a day.
I’m not that worked up I guess.

July 23, 2009 at 5:38 pm #54105Wow – your plot looks incredible Lip! I’m even tempted to come over with some salad dressing!
July 23, 2009 at 5:53 pm #54107Rufus has that look like, “Quit taking my picture all the time…I’m here to hunt!”
July 23, 2009 at 5:59 pm #54109The ol’ Boy booted some hens and poults out of there when we got there.
I haven’t been food plotting that long (4-5 years), but it seems every year my plots are looking better and better and my system seems to get tweaked, refined a lil every year, but it is working for me. They are a pain in the to do, but when they turn out it makes you feel good and seem worth while. Even better when you harvest a deer on one!
July 23, 2009 at 7:18 pm #54125Nice job Lip!! that is a sweet looking plot!! That will be a magnet late season too

Now wouldn’t that be a great picture on the trail camera, Brad sitting in the middle of the plot with a napkin under his chin, fork in one hand and salad dressing in the other!
July 23, 2009 at 7:36 pm #54130Wow! That’s it, my plot is getting round up on Sat and replanted with Shot Plot the first week of Aug. My first attempt early May was a big failure. I like that E.H. suggest what ratios of fertilizer to use during planting.

Got a camera out last night. Checked my mineral site, WOW! It has been hit hard. One nice deer print (Buck) on it.
