Thanks Rob,really good info and you’re right about spending the xtra money for a better product
Brad & I put out 6 of these trail cams yesterday, so we should have some pictures and videos of the Trophy Cam in the near future.
Brad, Any good pics of the 3 cams you had out?

im looking to get 2 more cameras any chance of this happening very soon or should i just get a couple more cuddebacks
Gut, PM Brad I have not seen the pictures he gathered last week. I have another one (Bushnell) out down South, but I probably will not be able to check that camera out until next week sometime.
thanks rob i saw enough to make me want to get at least 1 of these just wondering about the possible ido deal???
Just got one of these cams (Bushnell Trophy Cam model# 119405). Camera failed on first attempt to use (on a baited trail at night: checked cam next morning – bait gone, no pix) – VERY DISAPPOINTED! I should have suspected it’s functional quality when I discovered the instruction manual which came with the camera was actually missing several pages – had to download from Bushnell’s website another manual. Instruction manual is awful. Also, cam’s “mounting system” (a nylon strap which is 5 yds long with a cheap plastic buckle) is a pain in the butt. My defective Bushnell Trophy Cam will be going back for a refund!
welcome to ido devro
sorry bout your luck with the bushnell
love my cuddeback captures gonna get 1 more wish i had 10

Sorry to hear your misfortune devro. We are currently field testing 9 Bushnell Trophy Cameras and up to this point we have not encountered any malfunctions.
Did you field test your camera at home before you putting it out in the woods? Did you try it again once you got home and is it still not working? Each trail camera is a little different to set up and I always get comfortable with it before I actually put them to use (you never know when Mr. Big is going to show up). It always seems like I’m in a hurry once I get into the woods and that leads to mistakes.
What didn’t you like about the manual? I believe this is one of the easiest trail cameras to set up compared to some other brands that I have (Stealth, Cuddeback, Reconnyx, Buck Buster, Moultrie). If you need some help, feel free to post your questions here or send me a PM. I’ll be happy to help you out.
You may want to give another one a try and exchange yours for a different one. Again, one of the best things about the Bushnell Trophy Cameras is that they do have a two year warranty. All other trail cameras out there only have a one year.
Lastly, welcome to IDO! We are glad to have you here and welcome your thoughts!
Greetings and thanks for your comments. Tell me more about your Cuddeback: what model, etc.?
dont want to steal the post so ill pm you look for a flashing envelope next to where it says log out
Greetings and thanks for your comments.
“Did you field test your camera at home before you putting it out in the woods?” Yes. Used “shot” button in setup mode in daylight and took good pix. Tried night (outside garage where cats always come/go) no pix.
“Did you try it again once you got home and is it still not working?” Yes. Still not working. Slide button from off-setup-on not “firm”: sometimes when in setup LCD internal screen would be lit but blank. Batteries tested and good. SD cards removed from Trail Cam and used in digital camera with no problem.
“What didn’t you like about the manual?” For starters, when I pay $200 + ship/handle for new mdse, I certainly don’t expect the mfg’s accompanying manual to have missing pages! Secondly, the graphic depictions of LCD screen for set-up in manual look much different from how they appear in the camera itself.
“You may want to give another one a try and exchange yours for a different one.” Not likely. I pretty much did my “homework” on trail cams before deciding on trying the Bushnell. The Bushnell Trophy Cam “on paper” looked good, but… I “shopped” price and found most suppliers were on backorder. I’ve already contacted the supplier from who I bought the Bushnell regarding return and they responded they could replace the defective one I have, however, do not expect to have any replacement to ship until end of Sep’t. When going to Bushnell website, couldn’t even find a Customer Service e-mail address – I had to contact supplier to get Bushnell’s Customer Service contact by e-mail info. I have now e-mailed Bushnell and waiting to see if/how they reply.
“Bottom-line”: the Bushnell Trophy Cam has left a “bad taste in my mouth”. When such occurs, unless the supplier/mfg “go the extra mile” to “make good”, normally I take my future business elsewhere.
One last question devro – did you format your SD card before trying to use the camera?
Is the SD card locked? There is a little slide on the side of the cards, up open, down locked.

Spoke with Bushnell Tech/Customer Service by phone today. They said camera was definitely defective. Suggested I return Trophy Cam to merchant for replacement or refund.
Sorry to hear of the bad lack, but glad to hear they confirmed what you’d thought. If the merchant won’t return it, they should definitely send you a box with a return label. Lately for me with the customer service it’s been:
“oh really, we’ve never heard of such an issue,” or worse,
“I don’t think that could happen under normal use conditions.”
