I do not know what size of tractor or how big of food plots you plan on doing. But for many plots I use a 3 point disc because you can push it into the ground. Small drawbar pull ones that I have take time to work it up. Also a bottom plow of some size works good to really blacken things up. You could just go with the disc if you do not want to buy as much stuff. Also some way to finish the ground like a small digger. And finally a drag to smooth everything out and to cover the seed. Spreader or small drill depending on what you are planting. There are a lot of fancy planters and food plot equipment out there but regular farm equipment does a much better job. Especially if you have to do some major tillage. I plant a lot of corn, milo, clover, and oats.

Sticker, there are many ways to go about it and probably no one way is wrong. It depends on what you have access to. Brad did one of his plots this year, just by spraying it to kill the plant life and then drilling it with corn. I have used a rake in the past and had success to scarify the ground then broadcast seeds from a hand spreader that do not require much depth. Most of the time I use my disc, drag and lawn fertilizer spreader behind the 4 wheeler, you don’t need much. This year I have a tractor, but being my plots are established, but I will probably use the same methods. Knock the weeds down (weed whip /mower/brush hog), Spray Round Up, Disc, Fertilize/Lime, Disc again, Drag, Broadcast Seed, Cultipack/Stamp with wheeler tires or tractor, then pray for rain or water it if you can.

As always some food for the deer is better then none.

Sticker, depending ont he size of your plot(s). A lot of times I use a hand (Hudson) sprayer and my lawn fertilizer bradcaster for the spreader. No need to get big stuff for small plots.
