Well, a lot of my food plot work just got A TON easier.

My Dad who is definitely from the old school and grew up on a farm but he never had/owned a tractor. At least a tractor that was not powered by horses. Well, all that is in the past as I have been doing my homework these last couple of years and looking at tractors for my Dad to look at. Along with his growing want and passion of getting a tractor, we finally sealed the deal last night and brought home a 1950 8N Ford tractor, plus a few implements. It also has a 3 point hitch and PTO for plot work. This Ford Tractor has extra meaning to my Dad as he worked at the Ford Auto Plant in St. Paul for 35 plus years, putting 4 boys through school and sacrificing everything to better his family. Thanks for EVERYTHING that you have done for us DAD.

Congrats Dad on your new tractor, you definitely deserve it!

Thanks also for making my life a ton easier putting the plots in this August.

Congrats on the new “food plot making machine”. Does Chevy make a tractor???? I’m looking forward to seeing the handy work in the fields.

    Thanks Guys!

I’m not sure who is more excited, but will give the edge to my Dad. My Mom says he has not shut up since we brought her home.

I can’t wait to try her out. Up North my Plots are fairly small ( not very wide but long). This thing can corner on a dime. Turn the wheel and step on one break and she whips around which will be handy in the tight places. Now I just need to figure a way to mount my sprayer on it also.

Sorry Dan no Chevy’s. I might still need the sod buster though. Unless I can find a 3 pt disc by then.

If your talking about me LIP…it was brutal fishing this past weekend! I struggled just to catch about a dozen smallies Saturday morning. Then the weather turned for the worse and I never made it back out the rest of the weekend. Spent some “quality time” with the wife and kid…banked some points for this coming weekend!!

No I already knew that. I was asking the Birthday Boy how it went yesterday.

The birthday boy had a great time. The smallies have moved off the beds because of a 10 degree temp change but they were not far. I will post a picture or two tomorrow. I did not have my camera but should get some pictures emailed to me tomorrow.
