I just had a buddy tell me that a law was passed allowing 10 year olds to hunt in MN. Has anyone else heard this? I always thought it was 12…

It changed for deer last year. I dont have time to look it up but I believe a 10 or 11 year old cannot buy their own tag but can legally hunt on their parents tag as long as that parent “has direct control” over the kid. Meaning sitting next to the kid.
I saw this spring that 10 and 11 years old would get a free bear tag if they drew one.
