It finally happened!

    My son finally got a shot at his first deer – and his second!

    We hunted the WI youth season with opportunities but no shots. We hunted the opening weekend with seeing a few but no good shot opportunities.

    Well, in the end, here is a picture of my 12-year old with a nubbin and a 6-point to show for his efforts in his first deer season.

    I am not sure who is more thrilled – him or me. I was not hunting but was there with and for him every step of the way. What a Thanksgiving!
