Well you guys i am heading to Missouri tomorrow until sunday chasing the elusive whitetail, and i can’t wait. Just thinking about leaving gets me shaking. Is this normal. A buddy has been begging me to come hunt a farm that they have down there strictly for bowhunting, and after a little sweet talking to my mom as to why i won’t be home for thanksgiving from college, i decided to throw down the money and head south. Needless to say i am packed up and ready to go. Ive checked the list three times and i don’t think im missing anything else. I’ll report back when im home hopefully with a bruiser and hopefully with a bow kill on camera. Have a great thanksgiving holiday season. Instead of sitting around the table im going to be sitting in mid 40’s looking for a monster.

My son and his fiance live in Kirksville, Mo. They just moved there so Andrew has not found a hunting area yet. But the deer heads that are mounted in the Walmart there are absolutely HUGE!!! There seems to be a lot of non-typicals in that area.

I think NE Missouri has alot to offer and is similar to southern Iowa, except that rifle hunting is legal.

I’m looking forward to Andrew finding us a spot to hunt down there next year.
