Wind or no wind, which do you prefer?

Can get one of the next 2 days off, but not both. Weather wise, which would you rather hunt? Tomorrow looks windy in the morning with declining winds all day, Weds looks calm all day. Pressure around us should be about equal both days, but no one is hunting on my land after yesterday until I get there, so I guess Weds gives an extra day off. Here’s the forecast:

    Nov 24 Tonight
Cloudy skies this evening will become partly cloudy after midnight. Low 24F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.
    Nov 25 Tomorrow
Except for a few afternoon clouds, mainly sunny. High 36F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
    Nov 25 Tomorrow night
Some clouds early will give way to generally clear conditions overnight. Low 24F. Winds light and variable.
    Nov 26 Wednesday
Sunshine. Highs in the low 40s and lows in the mid 20s. Winds light and variable.

Wednesday and thursday are supposed to be the HIGHEST for game activity. We will have a new moon on thursday so wednesday would be a good day to hunt IMO

I’d hunt Wed. My experience is that high winds really limit deer’s movement. Best of luck to you.

I don’t hunt windy days with the bow, but with a gun…you may just need to change your stand location/tactic.
I would take wednesday just to have 2 days off in a row, or 3 if you get friday off too.

I find I see a lot more deer in my area with wind. Plus you get a free pass on some movement. No wind at all, and you get busted very easily by just about any deer! I’ll take some wind…not a gale, but some wind is nice.

Yep, I too will take wind. A 15mph for whatever reason has been my friend for along time. Even gusts up to 35 as on MN gun opener. Saw 3 bucks in the first hour. Windy evenings over windy mornings for me.

I also preferred wind. A nice steady breeze though, none of that variable stuff that changes direction every 10 minutes

Is this for gun guys or bow? If its for gun Id take a windy day too and then a slow drive on a calmer day.

Dan, call in SCARED… “I’m AFRAID I can’t make it in”…and hunt both days! Good luck.

LOL, well, I’m at work today so tomorrow it is! I got tomorrow, and Friday-Sunday to see if Mr. Big can find his way near me.

Funny thing is, the weatherman was wrong (as usual), and there wasn’t really any wind today anyway, so it didn’t really matter.
