Even if the blades don’t open, if it was a well placed shot, shouldn’t the deer expire quickly?
Exactly. But we are all human and fail to make a perfect shot EVERY time. It’s the marginal shots that you want the most damage done by your broadhead.
So far, everything I have read on the new Rage NC (no collar) has been good. I’m old school and prefer fixed blades. But if the new RAge NC works as well as its perceived, excellent tool.
Here is a 100Gr DRT 2 blade fixed exit hole through bone. Shot at 72# – about 50 yrds
