7 more days until I leave for my first trip of the year to ND Bow Hunting.

Hopefully I will be able to hunt. I usually sit with Stacie when she hunts as I want to be there. So hopefully we can get one of those nice 4×4’s or something bigger to come walking in next weekend.

I am already losing sleep because of this hunt.

Believe me I know what you are saying. Just wait until the Fall Walleye bite on Milel Lacs starts kicking, that is when I really start to suffer. Fish all night, work all day, Hunt all weekend.

I remeber a few years ago. I fished all night on Wednesday. Worked all day Thursday. Sat in the stand Thursday night. Worked all day Friday raced up to the Pond Firday nght. Fished with Holst from 6:30pm until 4:00 am. Left Garrison, headed to Fargo, ND and got in my stand in time for that mornings hunt @ 7:30am. It was Nappy Nap all day until I headed back to the stand in the afternoon.

The best 30 days of the year are almost here (October 15 – November 15).

walleye fishing!! you got time for that too.
Man all I can think of is birds and deer this time of year. That is until a bubby gets me thinking of muskies or wallleyes for a few seconds then its back to hunting. It’s a crazy time of year.

Until I start my MN Moose HUNT!!!!!! Been calling in the garage every night after work. Going to go sling a few arrows at 40 and 50 now Once in a life time bull moose hunt! Temps are looking great up there all week with lows in mid 30’s!! This will really get the moose rutting and will keep them rutting all day. Peak rut for Moose is around Oct. 1 here in MN Hopefully I will have pics and a awesome story!! Good luck to all this fall.

I remember Troy I also think you were the one that FINALLY beat it through my thick skull. Ever since your post I have been wearing my vest 100% and have checked 2 of my many stands for bolt stress and rehung them.

Only 4 more days until I leave for ND

    Good Luck this year!

RangerSki, What zone are you hunting ? I finally got drawn in zone 25 last year after about 20+ years of trying. It’s alot of work, and a big challenge with a bow, but well worth it in the end. Wish I could go again this year. I’d be happy to help if you have any questions.

Your report brought a double check for me too Troy. Its a whole lot safer to make sure things are working right.
