August 28, 2008 at 7:29 pm #37386Here’s some more pics from another area that I hunt in WI. This will be my second year hunting this property and we passed on a lot of these bucks last year hoping they would make it through. It looks like our QDM is starting to pay off with a lot of 2.5-3.5 year olds showing up. Now if they can make it through one more year we may end up with some shooters next year!

This clip is only a few seconds long. Camera got smacked around by a bear, but still managed a few interesting photos. If anyone knows of a way to bypass youtube and post the video direct, please let me know.
les_welchPosts: 1007September 2, 2008 at 4:15 pm #37464a few pics-these are all over antler king mineral. The bears tend to play witht the cameras, hence the crooked photos.

I have the trail cam in a new spot this week, changed SD cards today and had 165 pics all does and fawns this time no bucks. This is my gound blind spot that I hunted out of last year with my daughter, some of you may remember from my reports. I will leave the camera in this spot for one more week then try a new spot next week
September 17, 2008 at 2:00 am #38277A few of my recent pics. All taken from the same cam location so note the backround of the daytime picture.
ETA: Thanks for the tips on the sites photo upload system Steve, I didn’t know it existed! Anyhow the pics are smaller now so the daytime pic doesn’t show as well but my tree stand is in the background. I was in my stand Sunday afternoon when at least two deer were captured on it. Can’t wait to pull the chip and see those, lol.

September 21, 2008 at 7:29 pm #38585Finally ot home from a busy summer of work.Figures Octber 1st opening day bow season here in Illinois only a week and a half away. I put out the camera last wednesday got 41 pics of turkey, coyotes, coons and opossum, But got 15 pics of deer which four turned out decent. This camera was at my 3 acre Imperial Whitetail alfa rack plus and Imperial whitetail clover food plot. Notice how mowed down it is. I haven’t physical mowed this plot once. Deer keep it trimmed. I have a double ladder stand so my two boys can finally join me this year. I took a nice 10 point non-typical double drop tine out of this stand last year. Seeing the young bucks and small fawns this year is a blessing. Sharpshooters from Illinois Dnr slaughtered 1200 plus deer over the Kishwaukee river bottoms conservation property next where I hunt this winter. Sad thing is I found three carcasses with bullet holes in them this winter right after they did this. Ethical program for eliminating CWD. Yeah right. i will post more pics as i get them. I am definitely gonna get a cuddeback or Moultrie cam!!
September 22, 2008 at 2:31 pm #38615Got this 2.5 year old on camera. Definitely not a shooter for this area but pretty interesting drop tine coming out of his right base. He should be a good buck next year (if he makes it).
Last pic is a buck with a lot of stickers coming out of his bases. I wish I would of captured his entire rack!

September 23, 2008 at 10:26 pm #38722223 pics this last week from 9/15/08 to 9/22/08 but over 50 of the pics had nothing in them. Only one buck this time along with a few extra kritters.
I moved the camera to a new spot this week can’t wait too see what I get.
lickPosts: 6443September 23, 2008 at 10:56 pm #3872354 pics 41 bucks most in the dark still no shooters they are pounding the tecomate food plot
lickPosts: 6443September 26, 2008 at 8:12 pm #38983Pulled the camera again last weekend, but just got around to looking at the pictures now. Finally getting pictures of some better bucks. Hopefully they start coming around while there’s some shooting light.
September 29, 2008 at 3:41 pm #39063The bucks are starting to spar a little bit more while figuring out the pecking order. These two bucks went at it two different times (8pm and then later on at 3am). The last picture is in a different location.
September 30, 2008 at 2:57 am #390889/22/08 to 9/28/08 75 pics this week a few small bucks and lots of does.
