Funny, she wants to sell it to Cabelas & make a few bucks. Really meant alot to her, for a once in a lifetime deer opportunity….

Why would anyone want to shoot an albino? They are awesome to look at and so rare.

i saw an albino doe, well she was all white but you wouldn’t be able to tell if she was either a “white” deer or albino until you saw the nose and eyes. But she was too far to get a shot or judge her. She was on the run. Thought she was a horse at first

Albinism is a recessive trait that rarely is passed on generation to generation. The chances of an albino having albino offspring is very rare. If its legal and she’s happy with the animal she harvested, I say go a ahead. I’d love to have a true “once in a lifetime” trophy in my house. Cabela’s would not get to buy this deer from me.

Wisconsin protects any albino animal. I think its rediculous, but we do live in a nanny state. There is a full body mount in the Independence High School of an albino 10 point buck that was hit by a car. It is very cool.

I would not. But then again. I did shoot a 32lb fawn once!

I think there is a geographical factor here too. If this deer was at your backyard birdfeeder all summer, most likely guys would pass. But if you’re on public land somewhere far far away I think most are more likely to squeeze.

seems a little fishy if you ask me!! If she didn’t want it, then she shouldn’t have killed it. This is what makes people against hunting.

oh, I forgot to write this. Back in May around Memorial weekend, my friend, my oldest son ,and I witnessed an albino deer hit a mini van that was going about 55-60 mph. The deer died a couple of mintues after we arrived to help. The Sherrif’s department asked if any of us wanted it (there was a few other people that stopped to help also) and I asked if I could have it. I had asked the Sherrif if it was a true albino, only because the nose was black. A true albino deer would have no pigment (is what the sherrif told me). But if this deer was out in the woods…NO I would not have shot it.

I see albino(white) deer all the time at the state park where my dad works. Too cool to look at for me. Maybe a big shooter but would have to be in the situation to know for sure.
