All you need is a non-resident Archery. It is $160.

Thank you for the info. Now i get to go to buffulo county and start begging. Unless anyone knows anybody who allows bowhunters, its a shot in the dark but who knows. But would probably have a better shot at powerball. any info would help.

Good luck. I live in Buffalo county and if wasn’t for my Father in law I don’t think I could find a place to hunt for free. You may want to bring your check book. It is crazy what a guy has to go through to hunt.

I have a pretty good feeling that you wont find a place to bowhunt for free in buffalo county, but there is a few other options. One would be to hunt the public ground in and around buffalo county or you could Try another county other than buffalo and would have a lot better chance of getting on some private land.

yes there is earn a buck in some to most units right now.

The tiffany bottoms is a good place to be if your looking for a bigger buck on public land

Ok so I go in buy an archary license for $160. Then they give me just an anterless tag and I shoot a doe than I can go get a buck or do they give both at once and have to shoot a doe first. THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT INFO!

You will receive an anterless tag(s) and a buck tag at the time of your purchase. Your buck tag is not valid until you shoot an anterless deer and receive an earn a buck sticker. That sticker is good for this year (archery or firearm) and also next year so don’t put it on your buck tag until you shoot a buck. It is also legal to shoot a doe and then a buck and take them both in at the same time and receive your sticker on the spot.

    Jorgy,
You might also check out this link. managed forrest land/forrest crop land

Its probably a long shot and will require a little research. The link will list private property (plat descriptions) that is open to public hunting. You will need to get a hold of a plat map to locate the property. Then you would need to check it out. Make sure it is still enrolled in the program. Both the MFL and FCL programs are pretty similar. There doesn’t appear to be a ton of acres open in Buffalo county, but you could also check out some of the surrounding counties.
