This buck was shot back in Taylor County, Wisconsin around the Medford area (Central part of the state). Just thought I’d share pics of an awesome buck. New County record.

Do you have details of the kill? When it was shot? What he scored? Great looking animal!

He was shot during the 2007 rifle season. I used to hunt with the guy who did the taxidermy work and he sent the email with the scoring details………Final official score is net 210 nontypical or if scored as a typical net 181 3/8. These scores are after deductions. The deer grossed 223 plus inches. He has been scored officially as the largest buck ever shot in Taylor county. I am originally from Medford and now reside it Houlton/Hudson. Never realized they grew em’ quite that big back home!!

Wow what a buck! Any idea on the age? 6 year old or older? He looks very old just by looking at his face/eyes!

Real nice buck, hope that old boy surprised the hunter, I would not have been able to watch that monster walk across the beans from a couple hundred yards. Would’ve been sh1tting my drawers.

I always assumed the gross and the net non-typical score was the same. What do you take deductions for when scoring a non-typical?
