Anyone have some Non-Resident info on hunting Whitetail, Mule Deer and Antelope in Montana? I may have the opportunity to go out there this year and hunt some private land.

What I’m looking for is cost for Lic., permit info so on and so forth.

    Thanks in advance.

I haven’t been out there for a couple years. What area are you going to? From what I remember, its a draw for the deer permit, I drew 2 years in a row so I’m not sure if thats normal or not. $343 for the license which includes upland bird license and fishing. I’ve never put in for Antelope out there. You can get more info here. game and fish page

One more thing, apps for permits are due by March 15th.

We’ll be in the northeastern part of the state.

I am going on a guided hunt this fall. The outfitter told me that all the prices went up this year. So the pricing that is on the web address below is not right. Just a heads up. Good luck Blue.

    Blue Fleck,

Go to the Montana DNR website. That information should be readily available. I’m in the process of applying for non-resident elk tags in 4 states for a rut bow hunt and every state that I’m applying for had the proper information with hotlines for questions on their website. Good luck!!!

Don’t get your hopes up too high. A buddy and I have sent in for the past two years with no luck. The first year we applied for just mule deer and did not draw. Then we did some research and found that there was a much higher percentage to draw if we applied for the combo. Still didn’t draw. Hopefully you have better luck.

I believe that the Outfitter sponsered tags went up this year but the regular tags stayed the same this year. You should be able to draw about every other year.
