    To the masters who can score deer…can you tell me what he might score? He lives in an area that is closed to hunting but might be open next year….or so I was told! I had an encounter with him after an evening of fishing this past fall!

    He looks like a 5 x 4 with a sticker off his right G2!

    Thanks guys!

    That is a really nice buck I would say that deer would go between 155-165 It’s hard to tell because you can’t get a good look at the right side, but looking at the mass and the tine length on the left that is my guess What do you think for age?? 5.5

    I would say about 5.5 or so! He has definately been living the high life! The first thing that caught my eye when I first saw him this past fall was his body mass! Then after getting these pictures it confirmed it…he is a toad!

    Gross he pushes Booner. This buck is a STUD. I gross him pushing 170″es.

    Dartkoski, I would let him pass. There are those bucks you just see & know without question that he is a shooter, no matter how many points, etc. This is that buck.

    His left side G2 & G3 are pushing 12″ with a G4 about 10″. 19″ mass each side and Main Beams about 25″. I hope I meet his Cousin in ND this weekend!

    it looks like a long non-typ point off the left G2 also.

    neighborhood of 165 gross, with net about low 150’s.(typ)

    I agree with Rob, if this guy steps out, there is NO question if it is a shooter or not. You may hunt 10 more years to see another deer of this caliber or longer.

    I’m with Lip, with 10 scorable points this deer will definitely push close to 170″ or a little more, with all that mass! AWESOME looking animal There is one way that I’d pass on this deer though….if my son was sitting next to me with a gun/bow, I’d let him shoot it

    I agree – I say it would gross in the high 160’s. So he should be a booner next fall!

    It looks to me that his left side is a typical 4 not 5 and what looks like the G3 is actually an extra point coming off of the G2 about 3 inches up….either way I refer to antlers in gross inches so it all counts in my book
    Here is my green score guess:

    Spread 18.5
    MB 24.5 x 2
    Right: —————— Left:
    G1=6 —————— G1=5.5
    G2=10.5 ————– G2=11.5
    G3=7 —————— G3=8.5
    x=2.5 —————— x=7
    H1=6 —————— H1=6
    H2=5 —————— H2=5
    H3=5 —————— H3=5
    H4=4 —————— H4=4
    Gross score = 166
    It is always fun to guess but I always say: There is only one way to tell for sure! Good luck Dartman, hope you get a chance to hunt him

    Thanks guys for all your input…but unfortunately we may never know how big he really is. I just got word that this area will be allowed to be hunted…during the 9 day gun season next year….shot gun only….ANTLERLESS ONLY! So he will continue to live the high life and be the king of the forest! Maybe this spring I’ll go and look for his sheds!?

    a friend of mine’s Grandpa shot a Monster 8 pt buck years ago and left it in his shed for the mice to eat away on. it now sits in Coppertops basement and it would easily score in the mid 150’s. this thing looks a little bigger and w/ the extra tine off of the LG2 my guess would be in the mid 160’s. either way he’s a stud and would look great on the wall

    Lake Wissota State Park Bucks, here is another one. They are there every year. Big ones get shot on the outskirts every season. Yes it will be antlerless only.
