I just looked at the running total page on the Iowa DNR web page and as of Sunday nite there has been 112 bucks harvested that have already shed their antlers. I never thought you could shed hunt during the first gun season.That is a small percentage of the 52,500 deer harvested this weekend but I still can’t hardly believe it 
And by the way the buck I called Stickers was harvested by our group today. By the same lucky SOB that harvested the big 174 I had my eye on 2 years ago. Pics to come later, he is short of 170 I think. I am sure he will be green scored soon.
