What kind of hearing protection do you guys recommend to use while hunting? My ears ring for days after shooting just a couple rounds through my rifle or shotgun. I don’t need something that amplifies sound just protects my ears when shooting but does not block the normal sounds of the woods. Thanks!

The two great ones that I know are
    http://www.earinc.com/ and
    http://www.espamerica.com/

I have a set of earinc non-electric and use them for trap. I can have them in place and have a fairly normal conversation but could never use them while hunting. I lose just enough hearing to not be able to hear a bird flush or a hunting partner from a distance.
If you want you could try a set of electric ear muffs that shut off when the noise goes over a certain decibel. Many differant models to choose from. Here is just one link to Cabelas choices. Electronic ear muffs

I’ve never used these either but “hear” about them all the time! My buddy uses them and likes them. Walkers Game Ear! http://www.walkersgameear.com/
