could be true, but is a guy with $10K to spend on a hunt really going to be driving a beat-up S-10?

I doubt that is an s-10, looks like a full size silverado from the taillights

Exactly right its a 02 or newer silverado. Thats probably been beat to death on the ranch. You spend that kind of money and the least they can do is go retrieve your deer for you. Those trucks are cheap and a good buy for the money.

how come the left antler isnt touching the tailgate?

looks to me like the harvest photo was taken at night, and the truck picture would have been taking the following morning- so the deer is probably stiff already, that could be why the antler is not touching the tailgate.

Looks to me like the one antler is resting on the tailgate cable, holding it off the tailgate.

i remember my brother showing me that picture a couple years ago and the caption said that the buck on the left went something like 202″ too bad it was fenced

I don’t want to be one to read into anything too far but I thought it could be that the antler is holding the head up. I am not sure but perhaps the antler is resting against th tailgate/light or maybe even the cable that holds the tail gate level….just a thought.

I agree, TimberGhost, you can actually see the Ranch Sign, reflecting in the back window of the truck…
