Does anybody know what the regulations are for having game feeders?

The reason I ask, a neighbor of our hunting property has purchased a feeder last year and has placed it out on an island a few houndred yards south of our property line. He has it running all year round, even during the deer season and claimed he was going through a few hundred pounds each week the last month. He has shot his few deer for the year near the feeder. The biggest frustion is that the deer population on our property seems to be the lowest we have had.

I am just wondering what the regulations are, since it was the topic of the weekend at the cabin.

Completly illegal!! To shot it near the feeder it a huge violation! Call the DNR asap and turn them in!
To even hunt within 100yds or on the “trail” leading to or from it is how it reads…i think
    This is in mn right?

It sounds like baiting to me . I would not hunt any where near it. Call the CO

He’s illegal if he’s hunting his property and their is bait on it. It looks like the new rule this year is that you may hunt neighboring property to someone feeding deer though. Check the book but thats how I interpreted it.
