    Hey, just wonderin if someone could let me know the rules regarding sighting in a rifle during deer season. I thought i read somewhere that you could sight in a rifle during deer season as long as its some place such as a farm yard etc.. and not in the woods or other likely deer habitat.

    It has to be on a designated shooting range I beleave.

    You cant do it on any public land, have it be during season or off season. On private land, blast all you want granted its in a safe enviornment and you have a good back stop.
