October 30, 2007 at 8:51 pm #16640Bucks are on the move in the twin cities as well. I almost hit a 140″ 10pt this morning on my way to work. It was 8:45 a.m. and he was trying to cross 4 lanes of traffic during rush hour. He must have been on a mission..which is a great sign.

October 31, 2007 at 12:27 pm #16709Last night I did not see a deer, which suprised me because man were the pheasants out. Very few scrapes behind my house in Central MN, although near Park Rapids the woods is tore up. Tonight is my last hunt at home, then I head North.
On Tuesday night I had a 2 1/2 year old that was all over a doe following her everywhere. She had no interest obviously, but he was not going to leave her. That got me thinking, we may not be as far off as I thought down here.
Bring on the cool weather
