I didn’t get the talk, but I got the question, or more so statement “You’re going to be here for Thanksgiving, Right”

I conceded that day because I like turkey and my buck is down on opening day most years. This Easter, I am going to pool 4 to bust some eyes. Those dates are open to bargaining.

it goes like this, I get mine she gets hers, the payback trip for the girls is what recharges her and keeps the door open for my trips, she even added one more trip this year for the “girls” a week in Florida, she calls one night to check in and the first thing the kids ask “have you been fishing yet?” The the price is high, but somebodies got to pay.

For you guys that have been married for less then 10 years it does get better. Like a couple of guys have said here, tell them they can go do whatever they want when they want, it works! I guess I’ve got a keeper because shes occasionaly tells me to get the new worlds record. I told her a few years back that a new one is going to worth over a million dollars, the best reason to a woman that I can think of, haven’t had a problem since. Choose your equipment right because of future indorsements, what a reason to buy good Equipment and it works when you tell them why you buy it! We both come from outdoors familys and when im gone she can do what she wants, she does anyway. It does get better guys you just have to tell them they can do what they want and that theres money involved, even if you shoot a new state record.

Farmboy…I get thanksgiving too…As long as I can remember my dad and I get the morning in the stands…Its always seems to be a good day..

Between duck hunting and bow-hunting I usually get the talk about the 3rd week in October. This year however, even despite hunting for something for roughly 23 of the 27 days in October, I have managed to avoid the talk. The price however, was steep! I went to the Hannah Montanna concert last weekend with the wife and kids!!! (Actually, it was pretty entertaining, and the kids loved it) Hopefully now I won’t get the talk until after the rut!

i just got the talk the other day…. the fiancee said “here’s you on the phone.” So, did you see anything tonight… yeah, i saw five. nothing w/ antlers though. So, you gonna get the “big pig”… yeah i have a picture of him on the camera… he’s a big pig. So, you catch any fish lately.. i was out other yadda yadda yadda. She says it’s so annoying. When are you going to spend time w/ me? All you do is hunt and fish! i thought you were going to slow down, instead it seems like you go more. It never ends over here. what works for me and buys me a couple more weeks and going to a nice restaruant and taking her to a movie. It’s not the cure but like i said it gives me a couple weeks. that way when she says, “we never do anything” i can point back and say “oh, no. we just went out the other day” little does she know i try and line it up on a day that is crappy outside or conditions aren’t in my favor.

i’ve been married for 18 years and have never got the talk because before we got married i had a pre-nuptial agreement written up and it had nothing to do with money it covered a 3 month period every year, now come the end of september i take it out of the safety deposit box and hang it on the fridg.(this is just a copy and not the original document) this has worked quite well
