Well I got done work early today real early.I only made it half way there .I just couldnt stand it a nice cloudy cold morning here in Iowa with no wind.I thought to my self what a day to be in the stand. So I turned around and came home.Im going to take a scent shower and head out about 10:00 and put an all day sit in.I would like to see if anything is moving mid day.Im goin to hunt a interior stand on a oak flat.Have fun at work fellas , man it sucks to live in Iowa .

I have my shower in, packing my back pack.Scent bag with hunting clothes are in the truck.I change at the truck when I get to my spot. Also use the scent bags made by Hunter specialties to keep my hunting clothes as scent free as possible.I wear Scent Blocker Plus hunting clothes and love them.Scent control is HUGE in my book.Well im out later fellas .

Good luck today, Tony. We’ll be anxiously awaiting a green score and whether or not it makes Boone.

Going up tomorrow to check out a new timber I had permission to hunt in last year but couldn’t make it. The dairy farmers that own the land said they are getting hit hard by deer damage so they want 20 to 30 head thinned out. They only had two hunters in there last year and they both arrowed deer. It will take a good few days walking to check out the timber throughly because its 150 acres with 3 to 400 right next too it on the adjoining farm. N. E. Iowa is a great spot isn’t it Tony! Hey Tony did you see the culling numbers on does in the 4 N.E. connties, something like 12,000 total in those 4 counties, I read the numbers a couple days ago, I’ll get them again and post them, awsome numbers. Clayton county where I hunt has the highest numbers of 5,500 does for that county alone, Allamakee has 5000.
