Wondering what everybody has found to be the most comfortable portable tree stand out there currently?? Would like to find something that isnt real expensive as I cant justify leaving a expensive treestand on public or near public which is mostly what I hunt. Any thoughts on the best tree stand out there??

I bought a a climber from Cabelas 4 years ago, not sure of the name but it was the best investment I’ve ever made for deer hunting success. I paid around $145.00 for it and its weight is 23lbs. I’ve been looking at the Lone Wolf very light weight but you pay for the less weight.
The nice thing with a climbing stand is if the wind switched a person can move in the tree to adjust. Hope this helps, good hunting and have a clean harvest.

Will you be using the stand for bow or gun hunting and how long will you be sitting in the stand. I do not think there is such a thing as an inexpensice stand that is comfortable, most portable stands will not be that comfortable for long sits IMHO. If you going to sit all day the most comfortable stand IMHO is a TreeLounge. If you are just sitting for short periods of time I would use a lighter portable as a TreeLounge can be a little bulky and can be a pain to haul in but if you are sitting all day it is well worth the hasle.

If it is comfort you are looking for, look at the Summit series of climbers. But, with comfort comes weight. I had a Summit Signature Series climber that was the most comfortable stand I have ever owned. I could sit all day in that stand and not get a tired back or have my go numb They are also not the cheapest, but well worth the money.

Wb, If you choose a hang on style stand look for the sling type seats as they are way more comfortable than the rigid flip down seats with foam pad. I have 2 API alumilock stands with this type of seat and I like these better than my seats on my lone wolf hang ons.

Sat lots of days the last couple of years from daylight to sunset in my treelounge and never got sore all day. And they are right you can sleep in this thing and not worry about falling out. Its pretty easy setting up once you have used it enough to get the system down right for putting together. I can set mine up in the dark using a headlight and be up 20 feet up in the tree in about 15 minutes. Takes practice but it can be done.

River’s Edge makes a very comfortable hang-on stand (for about $100). The arm rests are what really makes the difference, I think. I’m also a big fan of my Gorilla Silverback Magnum – very large platform and it only weighs 11 pounds, but it doesn’t have armrests.

I have a couple 2 man ladder stands I put in big funnel areas where I will sit all day during the rut with 2 extensions in them making them 18 ft high or so and I can sit up there all day long or else for hanging stands Lone Wolf fits me best and I am not small by any means.

Thanks for your replys as I mostly bow hunt and am going to have to look into some of the above mentioned as the hanging seat looks very comfortable. Good luck to all this Fall!
