Any Input or Feedback on these?? 2blade or 3 blade??? I used them last year on a few does and had good results. On the new Hunting shows I see alot of “THOSE” guys are endorsing them this year for last Falls hunts.

    Thanks

The only bad thing I have heard about these heads Lip is….A buddy at work shot these last year and basically every deer he shot it wrecked the broadhead. He called the guy in superior that makes them and he said that yes if your hitting bone with them it will ruin the broadhead. Something to do with the materials they use to keep them at 100gr. aren’t stong enough to take the punishment of the bone. But if you don’t care about being able to get replacement blades on a ruined broadhead, I have heard very good things on the Rage. It wouldn’t bother me to have a 1 deer 1 broadhead, broadhead. As long as it does it’s job. I still personally prefere the Rocket Hammerhead 4 blade 2″ cut.

    Thanks for the input Brad.

For me, once I shoot a deer with any broadhead & arrow, it is done and put to rest.

Keep the input coming good or bad!

glad to hear that, I am planning on making the switch to these this year…. When you say wrecked-are they bending or breaking? Bending would be OK but if the blades broke off everytime, that 1.5″ cut would be irrelivant because it would break before it got to that..?

2 shots 2 kills last year. Very happy with the flight etc. and I don’t use them again just due to sharpness etc. I think they perform as advertised. Good luck!

What, no Sabertooths ??? Sure get me to shoot em, then ditch em !!! Sabertooths are pretty much 1 and done too. I have a perfect record, 1 for 1, for shooting a deer and watching it go down with the Sabertooths

G, I have been using those Steel Forces for quite a few years now and Love them

However, now I will be changing a few of my hunting styles/locations and looking for a little better down range accuracy for Hunting the windy areas out West and Open Country of SD. That is the reason for investigating into these Rage’s. I like them so far, but Believe me when it is big buck time during the rut here in the Hardwood sof MN or ND, I will have my Steel Force Sabertooth’s on.

At least until I have more research with the Rages.

I too need to find an expandable that I like, as per Kooty and shooting in SD winds… if that trip ever happens that is.

I willl be in SD hunting the edge of the Black Hills this year as long as it hasn’t all burned up. I will be looking for White Tail and Mule Deer.

The thing that will suck is license fees. 3-4 States Archery, 3 States Rifle.

Now Kooty is expecting, we will never get out there

I was in Wyoming a couple weeks ago for a wedding, I could not believe all the antelope out there. I definitely want to get in on that action someday. We seen muleys, whitetail, moose and elk on that trip.

I used them last year on 3 deer with no problems. The only problem i had was stalking elk, if you barley touched the razor on a weed it would “un-lock” the blade. This could be a big problem if you didnt notice and tried to shoot it that way.
