I’m going against the grain here. I don’t really like Cuddeback cameras unless it is the C-3000. That was a great camera but their current cameras has problems that many but not all are experiencing. Plus it has the narrow sensor on it which I’m not really a big fan of. I have picked up two Moultrie I40 game cameras and will be picking up a third. These are great cameras for the money. They are IR, they have a quick trigger speed of 1.5-2 seconds which is more than enough to catch deer, it has a excellent flash range and excellent battery life. All of this for around $200 with a little shopping.

I highly recommend the Moultrie i40 game camera also. Works great and easy to use. And for the price you can’t beat it. The Cuddebacks are way over-priced for what you get. DerekD was right on with his description of it. I got mine for less than $200 off ebay.

What problems, I have 3 of them. I don’t like the new design near as much as the old design. But, I don’t have any problems other than the batteries pack design can frustrate a guy.
The problems I had with the new cameras was a result of the wrong formatting of my cards. People that are formatting their cards in FAT32 will have a problem for sure. They need to be formatted FAT. Just a warning to everyone. You will eventually have problems if you do this with every card with a cuddeback.

August 7, 2007 at 8:23 pm #33737i read a cuddeback review on their new cameras and they are, terrible compared to their previous models. I guess the cover that protects the batteries and card are not waterproof or have a gap in between the two and it is ruining cards and battery life…

August 9, 2007 at 8:05 pm #33854Lip Ripper,
Just picked up an I40 Moultrie yesterday at Cabellas, its my 2nd digital but my 1rst is a cheap Wildview and was not that satisfied……but just talked with a freind of mine that said the I-40 goes into a sleep mode after a period of time to save battery life….when motion is detected it wakes up but it can be around 5 seconds before a pic is taken….. have you seen this to be true? Either way it seems to be a good deal for what you get….only time will tell!August 9, 2007 at 8:05 pm #598634Lip Ripper,
