Menards has their 2 trail cameras on sale. They have to digital one they carry for 39.99 I believe and the regular 35mm stealth cam for 19.99.

Just thought I would let everyone know in case someone was interested in them. They also had plenty in stock when I was there last night.

Anybody know anything about these? That is a pretty good price if they work half decent.

I’ve used a couple the last two years.I had trouble this year maybe because I used Fuji film when they recomend Kodak. Or maybe I just got what I paid for.

How can they sell the Stealths for $20 and a digital for $40 ? I would guess, about 4 rolls of film and developing, and the digital would have paid for itsel already ??? Any body use the digital one ? At that price, you could put em every 100 feet !!!

That is exactly what I am thinking. Quantity, not quality. They do not have to take great pics, I just need to see the size of the antlers.

actually, if they are talking about the Wildview digital camera’s, they work really well. I bought 2 from menards for 60 2.0 mxg and the quality is excellent! I would not get a 35 mm ever again because if you screw up w/ the film loading, you won’t know until the screen reads END. I would recommend the digital ones for someone that does not want to spend a lot of money. Go there and take a look

I used to have 3 of the $20 dollar 35mm ones. The first one I bought worked great. I had problems last year with the 2 new ones I bought. I don’t know if it was the extreme heat or what the problem was. But after I setup the camera and left. It would take 1 pic every minute until the film ran out, with nothing in the pictures. Could’ve been a sensitivity issue during the heat. Anways, not my problem anymore as 2 of them were stolen before the archery season started, thank god they didn’t find my cuddyback.

We picked on of the digital ones up right after christmas. I havn’t put it out in the woods yet, but have been playing with it out in the yard and house. I set it up in the living room and shut off all the lights and it worked pretty good, pics were clear. Then i turned on some lights to simulate daytime and pics were also good. i walked around at different distances and even 25 ft away it was picking up movment in the dark and turned out clear.

That night, i set it up outside to see the dog running around at night and pics turned out good and clear.

So, so far so good, just have to get it setup in the woods.

Does anybody know how long these will be on sale? I’m leaving out of state in the a.m. and won’t be back for a 5 days. For $40 it would be worth a shot. I’d like to pick one up when I return, if it’s not too late.

I bought a 2.0 mp a few months ago from them and it takes nice pics. My only complaint is it seems like the shutter time is alittle slow. I get alot of pics of just butts or sometimes nothing, but it could be the way I mount it to the trees?

i have some really nice pictures from the Wildview in a bunch of lighting conditions: night, day, snowing, and i have one of a doe that is about 50 feet away broadside. It takes really nice pictures for the price, but the only thing that i would complain about it is the shutter speed. Other than that, i will try to post some of the pics!

I’ve used them both and the 35mm I found to be quicker than the wildview. The picture quality is a lot better with the wildview but in low light conditions it didn’t put out enough flash to get a clear photo. I would download the pics to my computer then mess with the contrast and brightness and that worked great. I put the the Wildview where the animal is gonna be feeding or staying in one place for a while. It’s not quick enough for a walking shot….in my expierence anyway. I will own a Cudde Back next year though. They have proven to be the best for speed, quality, video, night time, and battery life. 2 of my friends have them and that’s the ultimate way to go if you are willing to spend that much on a digital camera.
