Well I finally scored on one yesterday morning on a very respectable buck not huge but a trophy in my book for a december buck…anyways was a crazy morning was in stand for only 20 minutes and had already seen a ton of deer moving just at first light and i looked back behind me in the brush where they bed and saw his white rack dogging a doe big time and grunting non stop…well after about a minute or two he came out of the thicket right below my tree!! Trying to quietly grab the loader i decided to make it interesting by slamming the stock of the gun right iinto the stand!! Knowing he was a buck I jad seen many times bow hunting I assured myself he was a shooter but had one problem….he was twenty feet below me staring me down hard!! so after what seemed like an hour he turned around confused if he should run away or keep following this doe which gave me the cjhance to pull up and cock the hammer back on the omega as he was quartering away when all of a sudden he did a complete 180 again when he heard the hammer cock back so at 15 yards i was comftorable taking him head on in the heart, a shot i am comftorable with and have harvested other deer at close ranges before….so I lined up the shot while gettin the look and well as you can see in the pic put a hurt on him!! the only problem was he had dropped his head a bit while aiming and sent the sabot right in the tip of his nose and straight through to his heart and dropped him right there in his tracks!!! was 10 points toal with one kicker off the g2 on the right and a 2 inch g4 on the right as well ended up measuring out with 9 inch g2s just shy of 8 inch g3s and 16 1/2 inch spread not a giant I was after but very respectable and hard earned deer after many many days in stand the last few weeks…so here is a few pics i cleaned him up as much as possible for the site but he was hit pretty hard so it still has a little blood and a messed up lower jaw i fixed so here is a few pics….
