The only animal that deserves a tazer-gun is two-legged.

Sounds to me like you could use a well prepared venison roast to kick your hunters instinct into gear. When deer walk under my stand during open season I’ve got 1 single thing on the mind & it’s accurately piercing the vitals. I’m thinking about a blood trail.

“The next big thing” ?? I sure hope not. Maybe in Africa, but keep it out of America. There’s so many people in need of a reality check on deer management already, much less introduce the thought of catch & release. Deer population is so huge in my area that we have counties hiring sharpshooters to come in & kill our deer for us. Not only is hunting a God given right but our duty to do our part in managing. I can respect certain reasons why a shooter may pass up a large racked, healthy buck for the purposes of higher quality management. In contrast, I hope that same person hits vitals on 5 of the 10 does that same buck is after.

    In closing,

“I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.”

Happy Hunting ! Go follow your blood trail

Digital camera or video camera works for me. Sounds like a Walkers Game Ear commercial…but it does the job! Aim….shoot….release!

I’m not a fan of the idea. I read about the competitive hunting league idea — tazing or shooting animals with a dart for “sport” isn’t sporting at all if you ask me. My $0.02.

Im with you guys on this, it isn’t sporting at all to tranquilize a deer just to let it go, take a few picts and leave the woods alone, leave it like you found it. Way too much trama for the deer, what do they do with the ones that might not make it because of this. How many points do they get for a tranquilized deer and it dosen’t sound like much fun too me even if it was going to be tagged, thats for the dnr studies.
