I got to my camera tonight to change cards. I forgot to bring the plastic case for it so I just slid it into my pocket. I also had some coins in the same pocket. When I got home and plugged the card in it was blank. If the card comes into contact with a coin can you lose the pics? I have been having trouble with this battery holding a charge so I an not sure there was anything there but it make me wonder. I am sure somebody knows the answer , Thanks

I have one of my work cameras using a sd card and I put one through the wash when I forgot it in a pocket. And it still worked after that, and it was also squeeky clean.

Try this card recovery program. It has a trial version that is worth a try.

We use this other professional program that costs alot. If you have no luck you can send me your card and I can try here, burn you a CD and send it all back. Of course you would then owe me a beer the next time we meet…..

Thanks Guys, The battery did this to me the first week I had it out . The charger said it was full but after I set it out it went dead and took no pics. Next week it took 50 pics before I charged it. It takes a 6 volt lantern battery that is rechargeable, but not real dependable.
