To be honest I am not sure what the reason is for that rule? erick came up with the rules last year so we will have to see if he knows. If the majority of you want mule deer in the contest I see no reason not to include them.

September 1, 2006 at 1:40 pm #19848My original post which was based on fairness of allowing Mule Deer was based on my mis-understanding of what I thought the rules were. I didn’t play last year so I didn’t know we could only register one buck. I thought, if I hunted MN & WI, I could register 2 bucks. That’s why I didn’t thing allowing Mule Deer was such a good idea. That would have allowed someone like Rob to register an additional Deer.
Now that I know what the rules are, I guess I don’t see a problem with allowing Mule Deer.

September 1, 2006 at 3:00 pm #19841Thats what I was trying to tell ya BOY WONDER!
POW! BAM! KAZOWEEE!
G, Don’t worry about it. I was minute away from scoring 32 points on one deer last year. I had him @ 7 yards for an eternity but could not see through my peep. He got shot in rifle season but there was another one that should be about the same, that made it last year. Last week I hung a stand for one purpose and one purpose only ..to shoot tht Monster. I may not see many deer from that stand , but I know he travels that route.

September 1, 2006 at 3:49 pm #19855Would they need to divide the number of points by 2? (3X3, 4X4) Are those boys able to count to 8 or 10? Hope you know I’m kidding. It could be cool to see some pictures of some mulies.

Hey, hey, hey. We know how to score a deer. A 4×4 is a 4 point. You guys who shoot 8 pointers need the math help!

September 5, 2006 at 1:45 pm #19998Well, the season is getting near, I guess we have decided to open the contest to Mule deer. Still the first buck harvested counts. Lets get the teams set by the end of the week so we have time to make bets against each other

September 5, 2006 at 7:27 pm #20028The reason I set it for the 11th is that I am heading to Escanaba, MI tomorrow for the FLW Walleye League Finals and will be gone for the rest of the week. MN Archery Season opens on the 16th. When I get back I will kick this contest into high gear, so far we have 25 guys signed up. See ya all next week when I get back.

September 11, 2006 at 3:20 am #20355Ok enough guys have asked so I am going to change the rules to allow mule deer. The main reason I decided to change the rule was so that guys in South Dakota could also enter the contest.
Also a few of you have sent me PM’s saying that you have a friend that also wants to enter the contest, please reread the instructions very carefully I need each person who wants to enter the contest to send me a pm from there user id, it is much easier for me to keep a count that way of how many guys are in the contest. So just to be clear if you want to enter the contest you must send me a PM from your account (user id) in order to get into the contest.
