All I will say is that they were found south of Rochester. Some friends of mine were taking down stands and shed hunting yesterday. What they found is nothing short of spectacular . A matching set, non-typical, 17 point HOG!!!! Green scored by an official scorer. With out spread 194 5/8″ , with estimated spread, puts the rack at roughly 213″. Hopefully some pictures will surface soon. I seen these first hand last night. Absolutly awesome. The offical scorer told them that they just missed the number 10 set of antlers in the world for sheds. Super nice find. And the best part, they were SHEDS which means he might still be around next season

Jason, GMAN is a member here @ IDA. Him and Prieser are from the Rochester area I believe. Send GMan a PM. He shoots some nice deer every year, so he ought to be able to give you a good story. I have a feeling finding this shed was no fluke. Not knowing GMan, but knowing enough, I’m pretty sure they knew about this deer and might even have some trail cam pics

Oh I almost forgot. Gman you the man An absolute Buck of a lifetime

Jason and Jeff are already getting pummeled with questions and phone calls. It is an extreamly rare find after all. So sorry everyone, but I am not going to be the one that gives out any contact information for these guys. Once things settle down a little they might give out some more information themselves. Until then enjoy the picture.

I just caught myself drifting off in thought wondering what that would look like on the hoof. Wow!

Pafish, I did the same but my heart stopped until the phone rang bringing me out of the trance. I would not suggest doing this at home, if you have a weak heart or if you are over the age of 35, or have the passion like I do, only leave it up to to us deer hunting’ fools cause I can not guarantee the safety of you or others around you if you let that thought ponder in your head
