This is sad to see! An awesome buck that got stuck rubbing it’s antlers. I have never seen a buck go out this way 690reece… I can not get the pics to post How do I shrink the pic or can I ssend them to someone to put up? There are four pics and I think everyone would like to see them. Thanks, 690reece

Hard one to guess by the pics, spread and beam length are a total guess. But it looks to be in the low 130’s to me. Guessed 5 for the G1’s, 10 for the G2’s, 8 for G3’s, 20 inch rails, 16 on the spread, and 14 inches for circumfrence puts him at 130 on the nose(but give or take a couple).

Ok it is tough with out seeing the whole rack at once and seeing width, but here is what I get.

    G1’s = 5″
    G2’s =11″
    G3’s = 9″
Thickness I got 15″ ( i think he is fairly heavy / above normal)
Main Beams are the toughest from the pics. With out much Sience behind it I put these at 21″. Looks to be similar to
Spread is tough but looking like a mature animal and normal rack not to wide but not narrow either I put him to the edge of his ears giving him 17″.

This puts his gross score at 139″ ( So I would guess him 135″ -142″ gross. Either way what a sad day!

Last year while bowhunting I found a 10 pointer dead with its antlers stuck in the fork of a tree. It didn’t appear to be rubbing. It just got stuck. It looked to be a slow demise by the tore up ground under it.

Here is the pic. What a shame. He was just a young deer too. He would have been a dandy this year or next year.
