Nice Sheds

    Found this pair today on a brief hunt today before the Classic weigh in .I have found 2 deads but these are the first sheds I have found.

    looks like some very nice sheds, the G2’s and G3’s have good length. congrats.

    Stupid question for you. I take it when you say “dead” you mean dead bucks. How do you think they died? Winter mortality or hunting? This winter seems like deer should make it fine…RR

    Yes I found them dead, I believe they were shot at night but not killed cleanly. They managed to make it out of the field and into the brush and out of the spot light. Most poachers will not take the time to track one down if he gets into the woods. They just head to the next place to see if they can get another shot. One was a decent wide 8pt and one a smaller but heavier racked 10.But of course you cannot keep these racks

    Anybody do any, or know someone that does, antler shed hunting around southern minnesota or north iowa? I’m looking for an outdoors story for KAAL-TV to shoot this week and this would be perfect!
