finally getting around to posting my hunt been having trouble getting pictures posted and whats a story without pics. fellow idaer jack gave me a link and is hopefully helping me get the pictures on here on the sat after thanksgiving i was debating on going out deer hunting as i had to work the am and wouldnt get out till probably 1 or 2 in the afternoon. after a brief debate the recent snow fall encouraged me to go and boy am i glad i did after an hour in the stand this guy came trotting through on exactly the same route i had taken(i am now a firm believer in the scent killer product)he grossed 185 with a 19 inch spread, and he either is a 16 or 18 pt, 2 are really borderline and 2 different guys counted them both ways, it all boils down to time in the woods i guess who would of thought it could happen at 2:00 on the second weekend while just sitting and not driving the woods

That is definitely a unique looking rack. The palmations on that bruiser are cool

    Awesome Buck Den!

Congrats on a Buck of a lifetime!

Curious on the date you shot the bruiser?? I shot a 176″ 5×5 @ 2 in the afternoon on December 3rd a few years ago. This guy was up checking does during the 2nd rut! Just curious to the date of your harvest.

to answer a few questions; you betcha hes going on the wall i doubt i ever top this one he was shot on nov 26, the land i hunt is sandwhiched in between a deer haven that is very thick and no one is allowed permission to hunt and on the other side of us is a pond, the areas only water source, my theory is that after hunkering down for a few days with the hunting pressure he was beginning to travel back and forth from his bedding and feeding area to the water again as the pressure decreased. or i was just plain lucky
