This is a cheap phone pic, but I thought it was really cool. It is my son Ben’s first hunt in WI with me, and we sat in the same tree. It was blown down in a storm about 7 years ago, and I have shot 20 deer from it. Kind of cool seeing the valley in the background with the sun coming up on it…

Very cool- I to tend to spend more time in the stand with my boys then w/o. It cuts down on the big bucks seen, we still shoot a few does every year, and the boys are learning about things that matter. I will go after the big ones in 8 years when they are in high school. For now- I am happy to field dress a doe and have them hold the legs. Can’t be beat.

Saw a bunch. A fork was the only buck, he got a free pass. We took a fawn for a brother-in-law who wanted a small one.
Lot’s of shooting! Multiple shots, you can see in your “Mind’s Eye” hunters shooting at running deer. I can see how folks get shot accidentlly. I like 1 clean shot. If that shot does not present, they get a free pass. ‘Til next time…
