This past week in a half I’ve been getting up at 5:00 and sit for 58-62 minutes (says my watch). Before I have to go to school and it really sucks. it seems that the time that I have to get out (7:00-7:10) they seem to be moving around more. But at least I’m seeing deer a few does here and there but no huge bucks anyone else doin the same or about the same just to get an hour of hunting and have you had any luck I haven’t had much but soon the next doe that comes by will be getting an arrow I’m getting really antsy. going to try for pheasants this weekend and give the deer a break for a day. good luck and gun season is coming up soon!!

Was just out this morn…. been doing the same with similar results. Also, running out after work for approx. 45 min. This am…3 does only. Hard to stay out of the woods.

Been taking my son to work early in the morning when it starts to get a little daylight. This is when i’ve been seeing some decent bucks. Seems most of the deer at dusk are does and fawns and young bucks. Here the bucks are chasing does in the early morning hours but thats in town here, out in the woods it may be diffrent. Been seeing decent rubs on 4″ to 6″ trees the last couple of weeks while driving along the in town roads so ruts in full swing here.

I’ve been out every day this week. Out of 8 bucks we’ve seen, only one was in the rut. The rest were uninterested in the does. No fighting or other activity going on. I think we need some colder weather…this 60 degree stuff in November is messing it up a bit.

I would have to say the rut is here in MN. I saw 3 different P&Y bucks tonight and one other 120ish deer. I watched two 150 ‘s battle it out to night and one is a now a former 150 class dee. THey were frickin tearing up the area. I say former cause he has 3 tines busted off now . Got some good footage. Man I’m jacked up . I can’t wait until Saturday morning

Hunt the mornings when it is cooler out, during the warm spell.

Yup, I’ve been hunting both daybreak and evenings for the last week. Finally saw a buck trailing a doe today. Neither came close enough and the doe was running away. Where I’m hunting it looks to be this weekend and into next week for the peak rut.
